We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. there is so much detail in it, it looks sorta like a macro

Its a beautiful lens and a must have for anyones camera bag (canon do an equivalent)
Its beautifully sharp and can work at low light to a decent degree as it can go down to f1.8, even though that means the depth of field is small.
Great for portraits, still life and most areas of photography, and can push you to think more about whats in the view finder as you cant zoom in or out.
There also dirt cheap, at the mo anyway. You can pick on up for £60 or $110 in your american money looking at amazon.com
Though the lack of autofocus on the D40 can be a nuisance, especially for street photography
